Historical Significance

Born into one of the most powerful families in medieval England, Isabel Neville was the daughter of Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, whose influence during the Wars of the Roses earned him the enduring title of The Kingmaker.

In 1469, Isabel married George Plantagenet, Duke of Clarence, brother to Kings Edward IV and Richard III. Through this marriage she became a central figure within both the House of Neville and the House of York, connecting two of the most powerful dynasties of the age.

Though her life was tragically short, Isabel's descendants would continue to shape English history, and her story remains intertwined with the dramatic rise and fall of the Yorkist cause.

Remembered as a noblewoman caught between family loyalty, political ambition, and dynastic conflict, Isabel Neville remains one of the most fascinating women of the fifteenth century.
